Kate Thompson is a Primary school teacher and professional artist, working between the Black Mountains in Wales and Somerset.

 

Over the past twenty years as a class teacher & art co-ordinator, Kate has specialised in developing the creative curriculum at Key Stage 2.  Now, through Arts Alight, she  offers  creative workshops to schools, enabling them to provide quality arts experiences and skill development for children, at affordable prices.  

 

She is also a partner in Blooming Events, a not for profit venture, which runs a wide range of creative activities for children during the school holidays and in 2021, founded the Nature-Child outdoor learning and well-being community interest company.
